Earlier today we received an emailed letter and poster, written by Rayer Fay from Northumberland who at just five years old is full of awesome feistiness.
We suspect she’s had a little help from her dad who’s given us permission to reproduce her work, but are assured the sentiments are 100% hers.
Where we adults oftentimes go around the houses, young Rayer Fay doesn’t pull any punches. She wants us (and anyone else who’ll listen) to sort out the problem of plastic pollution and do it quickly.
Here’s a couple of excerpts from her letter:
“Stop all carrier bags! Then people won’t be lazy and still pay the 5p charge.”
“Children can squash their plastic bottles with a fun machine and receive a reward ticket which can be handed in to the shop and receive something for helping.”
Rayer Faye – thank you for your letter. We’re on it.
Now, keep up the attitude and please keep spreading the recycling word with your pals, because you’ll be picking up the baton in a decade or so.
