Membership Categories

Full

An independent waste paper merchant. Must not be wholly or partially controlled, directly or indirectly, by a mill owning group. May have sister companies, subsidiary companies, or more than one depot: these to be incorporated into single membership (i.e. only one vote) but with a supplementary subscription per additional production unit. All members in this category are Bonded members. This is the only category to have voting rights at any General Meeting.

Associate Merchant

Any independent waste paper merchant (within the EU) connected to a Full member

Associate Mill

Any mill company which does not have a UK waste paper merchant within its group

Associate Allied Trade

Any company, not a waste paper company or mill, supplying materials or services to the membership

Associate non-processor

Any company, not directly or indirectly connected to a mill eg waste management company

Probationary

All new members spend the first 12 months as probationary members
