No less than 115 members and guests attended our Christmas lunch at the Institute of Directors in Pall Mall earlier this month. That's the biggest turn out to date, showing just how much the Association has grown in the last year.

With networking and catching up with colleagues old and new high on the agenda, CEO Simon Ellin thanked members and associates for their continued support and praised them for their initial work on the Quality First initiative. He reiterated the quality challenges faced by the sector as the global landscape changes, and called upon all present to raise its game to maintain and increase its market share.

2017 is set to be an interesting year for the Association as it steps up the Quality First campaign. A conference is being organised for Spring, with the date, venue and ticket availability to be announced early in the new year. The Association is also planning an industry ball for October, which should prove a popular networking addition to the UK's recycling events calendar.
