The Recycling Association Annual General Meetings, Golf and Shooting Day
Tuesday 14th May 2019, Celtic Manor, Nr Newport
It is with great pleasure that I invite you to The Recycling Association’s annual AGMs, golf and clay pigeon shooting day. The AGMs will take place on the morning of Tuesday 14th May at 10.30 am and will be followed by the golf and clay pigeon shoot events in the afternoon. The golf event will take place on the magnificent Montgomery course at the Celtic Manor resort near Newport, South Wales and the clay pigeon shoot will be hosted by South Wales 2000 close by.
There is no compulsion to attend both events but, if possible, we would like to see all the Member golfers and shooters at the morning event as well. We would also like to try and boost numbers at the AGMs in general, particularly with there being so many current industry issues to debate. It is hugely important that we get as much input as possible from the Members into the plans we have going forward through 2019 and beyond.

The whole event has grown in recent years and many non-golfing and shooting members now also choose to attend the AGMs and then network into the evening. We also encourage members to invite their own guests along for the golf too – it is a great opportunity for an all-round networking event. All Members have the opportunity to use the Spa and leisure facilities at the hotel throughout the day.
The itinerary is detailed below.
10.30 am - Annual General Meetings – IWPP and TRA
12.00 pm - Light lunch – tea/coffee and bacon rolls
1.30 pm - 1st tee off. 2.00 pm shoot-off
8.00 pm - 3 Course evening meal and presentation, including wine. Following the meal, there will be the usual networking in the bar.
Celtic Manor offers top of the range accommodation and is available on site at the main hotel complex and we have managed to secure a discounted deal at £108.33 incl VAT per night for single occupation. Twin rates are available on request for anyone sharing. To make a booking for the hotel, please indicate on the form and Donna will book it for you – please settle your own bill on departure. We have block booked 12 hotel rooms for the 13th and 50 rooms for the 14th, so early booking is recommended as it is on a first come, first served basis.
Attached is a form to confirm your attendance at the AGM and/or the golf event and evening meal. We would appreciate all bookings to be confirmed by Friday the 12th April 2018 at the latest which is when our hotel allocation expires. A menu choice will be sent out closer to the event date
